Vintage Berber Pouf

£145.00
sold out

Our Berber Poufs have been lovingly up-cycled and handmade using salvaged pieces of vintage Moroccan rugs. We don’t want to see these beautiful vintage rugs that are too damaged or worn and no longer able to be repaired go to waste. So why not make them into poufs for all to enjoy.

  • L60 X W60 X H20 cm

  • Berber vintage floor cushion/pouf made in the Atlas Mountains, Morocco

  • 100% natural sheep’s wool

  • Short and dense pile

  • Handmade and hand dyed

  • Zipped closure

  • No insert included. The pouf is excellent for storing those extra items that take up space in your cupboards and wardrobes; spare duvets, winter clothes and puffa jackets.

Please note: Due to the nature of the natural fibres and colours each product will vary in look and touch. There are no two pieces the same, each product will have a different pile, technique and colour combination.

For any products that have been up-cycled from handmade vintage pieces, there may be loose stitches and frayed edges. Natural fading and small defects may be apparent but these appealing characteristics add to the individuality of these re-invented pieces. It is therefore important that you take a close look at all the images before making a purchase.

Within each Berber rug the craftswoman tells her own unique story by weaving patterns and symbols that express her feelings. All rugs are skilfully handmade, knot by knot, in the Atlas Mountains in Morocco. Traditional techniques are used that have been passed down over generations. The vintage rugs used to make the poufs are made from 100% natural sheep’s wool and hand dyed. Many of the dyes use natural pigments from spices and vegetables.

This Pouf is truly a unique gem with its own history, ready for a new life and a new story in your home.
